About Kim Morgan Arabians

Kim Morgan

Kim Morgan (formerly Kim Potts) has established herself as a show ring stand-out known throughout the Arabian horse industry not only for her expert horsemanship but also for her personal integrity.

Kim has been involved with horses from an early age, and has won a multitude of National honors, both in performance and in the halter arena. However, Kim is just as proud of the longtime friendships she has made in the horse business as she is of the trophies she has earned.  Kim says, “I love the opportunity to work with great horses and wonderful people.”

Currently, Kim’s show career is focused exclusively on the halter arena with Purebred Arabians, Half-Arabians, Amatuers and Youth. However, she also finds time to be an AHA recognized judge, as well as operating her own breeding program. “I’m still very excited about the industry and the horses,” she says.

Kim Morgan’s relationships — with her husband Jim, with the horses in her care, and with her friends — are underpinned and strengthened by a higher power. A born-again Christian, Kim cites the central force that guides her day by day: “The Lord is definitely the leader in my life.”

Dr. Jim Morgan

Dr. Jim Morgan, husband of Kim Morgan, is a renowned quarter horse owner, judge, and a member of the NRHA Hall of Fame. Jim has been involved with horses since he was a little boy, and began his NRHA career in 1974. Jim Morgan holds a degree in veterinary medicine from Cornell University, with an equine-based practice formerly in Baltimore Maryland and now Pilot Point, Texas.

Due to his involvement as an exhibitor, Jim has been instrumental in equine sports medicine for horses in competition. When it comes to helping horses, he doesn’t mind mixing a bit of business with pleasure, Jim says. Although he describes himself as a fierce competitor, Jim has also found time to give back to the sport he loves through serving in various capacities on committees and for six years on the NRHA board of directors.

“I’ve always tried to do the right things for the right reasons,” Jim says. “I don’t know if I’ve always managed to do that, but I’ve always tried.”

As a side note; If you want to play a round of golf, Jim is your man!

Our Staff
In addition to great clients, we have been very blessed to have a great staff at KMA.

Tony Steiner/Show Horse Manager

A new addition to our staff is Tony Steiner.  “I pulled Tony out of the tundra in Minnesota this winter to help me with Scottsdale and immediately it was apparent he had to come on board permanently,” says Kim.  “Aside from having a great show, we determined we worked great together and shared the love of horses and our faith.”

Much like Kim, Tony has spent a lifetime in the horse industry.  His youth was spent working and training horses for his parents in Minnesota.  After graduating from high school and getting a business degree, he owned and operated his own training facility for nearly 20 years.  Tony has promoted stallions and developed many show horses and amateurs himself so he brings a great dynamic to KMA.

His training has been defined as quiet, fair and non-abusive, with an eye on the horse’s long-term future.  He is very gifted with his ability to teach amateurs as well.  Tony has had much success in the Regional, National, and Scottsdale arenas.  “Tony is also a gentleman and a joy to work with,” says Kim.

Tony and his wife Cindy have two children, Scott and Katie. “We are very excited about the future at KMA!”

Jose Rodriguez/Ranch Forman

Jose is the ranch foreman and is a very gifted man.  His attention to detail with the horses and the property is huge.  As much as we travel having this type of employee is invaluable.  Jose and his wife, Alejandra, have two children, Anthony and Keylie.
